We built this because BI tools stop at the questions that matter.

GraphPolaris was founded from a simple observation: business intelligence promised self-service analytics and delivered reporting. The exploratory vision described in the original Polaris paper; the paper that became Tableau, that became an industry; was never completed.

BI tools earned their place for structured, flat questions. But the moment a question requires depth, following connections across multiple hops of related data, every tool on the market fails.

We built GraphPolaris to finish what Polaris started. Next-generation BI, built on graph technology instead of SQL, designed for the connected questions that drive real business decisions.

Our technology

GraphPolaris is built on GPQL, a novel graph query language developed from research at Utrecht University and Tufts University. 155+ publications in graph analytics. GPQL unifies graph querying and visual encoding into a single no-code interaction model; the same thing VizQL did for SQL databases, GPQL does for graph data.

This is not a wrapper around existing tools. It is a new formal language that makes multi-hop connected data explorable by business users who have never heard of Cypher.
